Youtube VK’s Channel has figure out how to fix the Nintendo Switch Joy Con drift issue. The permanent fix is to put a piece of thin paper cardboard so that the joystick metal plate and the pads are pushed together again to make contact. What was happening was that the metal plate drifted apart from the pads losing contact as there wasn’t enough to keep them together. An extra screw would have helped.
