If you’ve plugged in your Nintendo Switch to the docking station connected to the TV and it’s not displaying on the TV, here is the order you have to use in order to get the signal to your TV or AV receiver.
First, make sure your dock is charging your Switch. If that’s working correctly, then follow the procedure below in exact order. Plugging things in the wrong order can cause official Nintendo docks to stop working correctly when connected to the TV.
- Plug in USB-C power adapter to the Switch dock
- Plug in HDMI connection to the Switch dock
- Plug in the other side of HDMI cable to TV
- Put Switch in the Dock
- Turn on TV and select the right input
