Paramount Plus is a very affordable streaming service from ViacomCBS. The ad-supported plan starts at $4.99 a month, while the ad-free premium plan costs $9.99 a month. You can also pay annually at $49 a year or $99 a year to save about 16%. Currently, Paramount+ offers a 7-day free trial for new members. You can also get 25% off if you’re a US college student.

The streaming service includes programs from CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, and The Smithsonian Channel. In order to watch your local live CBS network instead of just on-demand library, you’ll need to upgrade to the premium plan.

Only select video titles are available to watch in 4K, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. These features are only available to Premium plan subscribers and only on certain devices.

Paramount Plus came about as a replacement for the now defunct CBS All Access service. Some originals that initially premiered on CBS All Access also remain available, including “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Star Trek: Picard,” “The Twilight Zone,” and “The Stand.” Currently airing CBS shows are also added the day after they air on TV and Paramount theatrical movie releases are available 30 to 45 days after they debut in theaters.

After you have signed up, you can add more profiles, including setting it to kids mode which will show age appropriate programs for those who has little ones. You can even set a ratings category to filter shows and movies according to you preference.

Overall, the interface is easy to use and intuitive. Streaming performance is decent and you can expect it to be similar to other services like Disney+.
