The Toys That Made Us is a Netflix original television series created by Brian Volk-Weiss. It’s dedicated to the various toys of our childhoods, interviewing all the creators, architects, marketing and sales folks from companies that created them. The first four episodes of the series began streaming on Netflix on December 22, 2017, and the next four were released on May 25, 2018. The documentary series focuses on the history of important classic toy lines.
As it was made for streaming only, Season 1 and 2 was also released on DVD and Blu-ray discs for those who don’t subscribe to Netflix. For disc releases, you also get a bonus disc with tons of extras so it’s worth the price if you’re a super toy fan.
