For beginners, Rave hoverboards has anti-slip grip mat and speed setting on RideJetson app, which can control how fast you can go, making it very safe for novices. For starters, you can set the speed to 4 MPH, and sensitivity to low so that you can easily control the board. As you get better at balancing and riding, you can then increase the speed at a max speed of 12 MPH. When you are changing the speed and sensitivity, you have to be off the hoverboard in order to change and save the settings.
