When Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment in 2009, we were excited for the endless comic superhero cross-over possibilities. Mickey Mouse as Spiderman? Minnie Mouse as Elektra? How about Alice in X-Men universe? What we didn’t expect was Disney using another one of its famous assets (ESPN) to create a ESPN The Magazine mashup with your favorite NBA players as Marvel comic superheroes. This special NBA season preview edition came out in October 22, 2010. Each of the NBA’s 30 teams are featured in their own art-laden preview and paying tribute to classic comic characters and team story lines.
