FAN EXPO HQ is one of the largest pop culture organizer group in the world. Collectively it hosts over 500,000 fans annually at various Fan Expo and MegaCon branded comic-inspired events in U.S. and Canada. About Fan Expo
Fan Expo is a group of fan conventions operated by Fan Expo HQ, a unit of the Informa Connect division of Informa plc. The company owns these US and Canada comic conventions, including all the Fan Expo conventions, Megacon, Toronto Comicon and more. A lot of the conventions was Wizard Entertainment’s Wizard World conventions. When they were purchased by the company in August 2001, these gatherings were rebranded as Fan Expo.
Is Fan Expo the same as Comic Con?
Yes they are both comic conventions. The only difference is the company that puts them on. Fan Expo refers to the comic conventions that Fan Expo HQ puts on while many other groups use the general comic con name.
Who is the founder of Fan Expo?
Aman Gupta is the founder and Managing Director of Fan Expo, the largest pop culture fan experience in North America. He is an Indian businessman who is also the co-founder and CMO at boAt, an audio & wearables brand.
