Fan Expo Chicago is what used to be commonly known as the Chicago Comicon. Acquired by Wizard Entertainment in 1997, Wizard World Chicago Comic Con became one of the larger comic book conventions in the U.S. In 2021, Wizard World events was acquired by Fan Expo HQ and this convention became Fan Expo Chicago.
